Open Houses
September 15th, 2009
For the past five months the Life on State team has been analyzing workshop results, studying survey responses, and poring over emailed suggestions. We have used all of this public input as a foundation for the State Street Vision.
We will be presenting a draft of the vision for additional comments and input at two open houses:
October 6, 6:00 pm
Skylight Lounge at the Salt Lake Community College South City Campus
1575 S State Street
Salt Lake City, UT 84115
and
October 8, 6:00 pm
Jordan High School Tech Atrium
95 Beetdigger Blvd.
Sandy, UT 84070
Please join us to see how your ideas have helped build the vision!
Life on State New Charrette Location
August 3rd, 2009
The Life on State Charrette has been moved to the Birkhill at Fireclay development at 4267 South Main Street in Murray.
The charrette will explore a variety of design ideas at a small scale, focusing on just a few blocks at a time. Landscape architects, city planners, and architects will work with residents to explore a variety of design ideas in an intensive work session where fleshed-out designs will be produced within the span of one week. The charrette will touch on each part of the street, but will focus on two particular areas where residents are interested in exploring change: 900 S. to 1100 S. State Street; and 3900 S. to 4200 S. State Street.
The public is welcome throughout the process with four key meetings:
Tuesday: 6:30 p.m. discussion about 9th to 11th south
Wednesday: 6:30 p.m. discussion about 39th to 42nd south
Friday: noon (12:00) show and tell concepts corridor wide
Saturday: 10:00 presentation and discussion of design concepts
Come roll up your sleeves and join us at this interactive Charrette!
Sponsored by:
Hamlet Homes, Wasatch Front Regional Council, Salt Lake County, UDOT, UTA, the Salt Lake Chamber, the Downtown Alliance, Salt Lake City, South Salt Lake, Murray, Midvale, Sandy, and Draper.
